Been playing with my Tunisian crochet hooks and some very fine sock wool I bought at the Wool Fair in Coventry last year.
So far I have made 2 hairbands, the second of which is pictured here...
It's almost 2" wide (or 45mm if you prefer!) and fits around my head. It is slightly stretchy and crocheted from 75% Wool/25% Nylon sock yarn (the colourful part) and 100% Merino (the dark blue part). Crocheted in the round but there is still a sort of join where 1 round goes to the next.
I may try making a Scrunchie next...
